Koalas are permanently intoxicated and sleepy due to the eucalypt oil they consume. They even sometimes fall of their trees – so smashed they are. On Kangaroo Island Koalas were introduced by European Australians and became a massive plague because the local eucalypt have no oil, therefore the Koalas are very active, reproduce fast and eat the island bare.
